Truth Hack #3: The Persuasion Trap The more someone tries to persuade, the less I believe them. You’ve heard it: “It was completely, absolutely, one hundred percent true!” That’s not evidence. That’s effort. Honest people describe what happened. Liars describe how you should feel about it. Hack: Strip away the adjectives. What’s left is the truth — or what’s left of it. Remember: Persuasion adds colour, not clarity.
