Why does CAPS work? Because deception is not random.
Liars don’t invent chaos. They manage the truth. They cut, polish, redirect, and perform. And in doing so, they leave patterns.
CAPS 1 looks at the deliberate: Convincing, Avoiding, Persuading, Selecting.
CAPS 2 looks at the accidental: Contradictions, AWOL, Pronouns, Storytelling.
Together, they form a map. A way to separate what someone wants you to hear from what actually happened.
I don’t use CAPS to catch people out. I use it to see clearly.
