Revealing

People reveal more than they realise with pronouns.

“I made this choice” shows ownership.
“We made this choice” spreads responsibility.
“This choice was made” removes responsibility altogether.

When pressure builds, pronouns often shift. I’ve seen suspects start with “I did it” and later slide into “we did it” or “it was done.”

In CAPS, pronouns are like fingerprints. They map where a person places themselves in the story. And when those fingerprints change, I pay attention.
